SICK BOY

Sorry I don't have pictures of this but I didn't really want any and you'll find out why ........

We had our first "real" experience with sickness last week with Will. On Thursday night Rick and I were outside finally getting to enjoy our new patio furniture and the neighbor's dog started barking, which of course, got Hawker started inside the house, which of course woke up Will! :) Will finally quieted down and we just left everything alone and stayed outside for a while longer to enjoy the evening together. We later went inside and were about to go to bed when we heard Will start screaming (we believe the neighbors coming in at about 1:45 am and being loud is what really woke him and then he found the following when he woke up and started to scream because he didn't know what was happening) so Rick ran upstairs to check on him...shortly thereafter Rick yelled, "Mary Matheson, come here, quick ... I need your help with Will" .... so of course I ran right away to see what was going on. Well...I didn't even need to see what was going on...I could smell it as I went up the stairs to Will's room...it was one of the most potent smells that I've ever come across! Come to find out...Will had thrown up and basically rolled all over the bed in it .... it was all over the covers, the wall, his pajamas and his hair!!! He was so upset about this! And to top it all off, he had wonderful diarrhea to go along with this. We're assuming he just picked up a little bug somehow??? So...at about 1:45 am we pulled off all of the covers so that I could wash them the next morning, gave him a quick bath and I went back to bed while Will and Rick went to bed in the bonus room together...Rick and Will didn't end up going to sleep until about 4:00 am (I had to work the next morning so needed to sleep). Until yesterday he still was not feeling great; wasn't eating, whining a lot, etc.. He woke up yesterday morning though and went straight to the refrigerator and pulled out yogurt to eat and ate non stop the rest of the day and Rick let him! :) Guess he was catching up! He does finally seem to be feeling a little better now...thank goodness ... and will hopefully not go through that for quite some time! :)

One of the best things ever is when your child gets old enough to anticipate and understand this 'event' thus making it to the potty in time! Glad Will is feeling better and eating so well!Gran
