Rick called me earlier today to tell me to go look at a picture of Will that he had sent me and this is what it was:
As you can see, it rained at home today and Will had a blast in the backyard after all the rain was gone! I thought it was an awesome picture....disgusting, but awesome! :) Reminds me of a picture of Elizabeth and myself from years ago playing in the mud like that...we used to love doing that!

WILL'S NEW BEDDING FOR HIS "BIG BOY" BED
Rick, myself and Will's gran and g-daddy all went in together and got this bedding for Will's "big boy" room for his birthday! I've been searching for just the right thing (wanted something that he can use for quite some time hopefully) and Rick and I both decided on this sports bedding...I absolutely love it and from the looks of it in these pictures, Will does too! He's was all over his new bed tonight once I put everything together! :) Now...the fun part.....paint and finding a window treatment to match! :) Thanks gran and g-daddy for the present - I love it!

PROGRESS OF THE BACKYARD FENCE
SICK BOY
Sorry I don't have pictures of this but I didn't really want any and you'll find out why ........
We had our first "real" experience with sickness last week with Will. On Thursday night Rick and I were outside finally getting to enjoy our new patio furniture and the neighbor's dog started barking, which of course, got Hawker started inside the house, which of course woke up Will! :) Will finally quieted down and we just left everything alone and stayed outside for a while longer to enjoy the evening together. We later went inside and were about to go to bed when we heard Will start screaming (we believe the neighbors coming in at about 1:45 am and being loud is what really woke him and then he found the following when he woke up and started to scream because he didn't know what was happening) so Rick ran upstairs to check on him...shortly thereafter Rick yelled, "Mary Matheson, come here, quick ... I need your help with Will" .... so of course I ran right away to see what was going on. Well...I didn't even need to see what was going on...I could smell it as I went up the stairs to Will's room...it was one of the most potent smells that I've ever come across! Come to find out...Will had thrown up and basically rolled all over the bed in it .... it was all over the covers, the wall, his pajamas and his hair!!! He was so upset about this! And to top it all off, he had wonderful diarrhea to go along with this. We're assuming he just picked up a little bug somehow??? So...at about 1:45 am we pulled off all of the covers so that I could wash them the next morning, gave him a quick bath and I went back to bed while Will and Rick went to bed in the bonus room together...Rick and Will didn't end up going to sleep until about 4:00 am (I had to work the next morning so needed to sleep). Until yesterday he still was not feeling great; wasn't eating, whining a lot, etc.. He woke up yesterday morning though and went straight to the refrigerator and pulled out yogurt to eat and ate non stop the rest of the day and Rick let him! :) Guess he was catching up! He does finally seem to be feeling a little better now...thank goodness ... and will hopefully not go through that for quite some time! :)

LET THERE BE LIGHT
Well...we believe that "we" are officially afraid of the dark and when I say "we," I mean Will, of course! :) We don't know what has made him feel this way but just recently he just started saying "light, light" before he would go to bed so we would turn the hall light on for him and once he went to sleep would turn it off but then every night right around 2:00 am he's been waking up and crying (thought at first it was his teeth bothering him but that wasn't the case, although this also keeps him up a couple of times a night at times) and will not go to sleep until the light is turned back on so we have started turning a lamp on in his room now and just leave it on all night and that seems to have worked so far......we'll see what happens! :) We've even tried night lights, sleeping with him, etc. and none of it has worked except for leaving the light on! :) Oh the joys of parenthood...we're learning right along with them and I guess that's how it all works!!!!

MOMMY AND DADDY'S 2ND BIRTHDAY GIFT TO WILL
Rick and I bought this little playhut for Will's 2nd birthday...we decided to go ahead and give it to him a little early! :) He absolutely loved it and I think that daddy loved it just as much! These are some pictures of Will waiting patiently for daddy to open the gift and put it together for him and of him playing in his playhut with daddy and his farm and zoo animals!

MY FIRST "REAL" HAIRCUT
Well...Will had his first real haircut today at a place called Hair Doodles and if I do say so myself, did a wonderful job! He looks very handsome with the "new do!" Gran has cut it for him all of the other times and did a wonderful job also but I wanted to give a hairdresser a shot and see how he would do with them and he did much better than I expected! There was another little boy sitting right next to him bawling his eyes out and then a girl came in after him doing the same thing so I guess we could've had a worse outcome! :) He got to play with a truck while he was there, read a train book that made "toot toot" noises (absolutely loved this), and was given a sucker! So...the first "real" haircut experience went very well and hope all the rest will be just as nice! Here are some pictures of the "new" Will:
